Pizza Sauce

Makes enough for 2 pizzas

  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 3 T olive oil
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 T red wine vinegar
  • 1 t black pepper
  • 1/2 t dried oregano
  • 1/2 t dried basil
  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • salt to taste, about 1/2 t
  1. Lightly saute garlic in olive oil in a pot on low heat until slightly softened, but not browned.
  2. Add and combine remaining ingredients.
  3. Heat covered over low heat for 1/2 hour or so stirring frequently.
